Retail Super Funds
Retail super funds, also known as public offer funds, are typically offered by fund managers or other financial institutions and are the most common type of superannuation savings vehicle offered to the public. They currently represent the major share of the retail sector of the Australian superannuation market.
As their name suggest, Retail super funds offer membership to the general retail public. Most retail funds are flexible enough to cater for members throughout their lifetimes, providing a range of different options and membership categories to meet various member needs and objectives throughout different life stages, including in retirement.
