Investment risk profiles

Investment risk profile questionnaires are designed to give you an idea of the kind of investor you are, from the perspective of how much risk you are willing and able to take.

It is common practice to define an investor as either an aggressive investor, a conservative investor, or somewhere in between.

Aggressive investors are generally considered to have a greater tolerance and capacity for risk, and in turn, you often see a higher proportion of growth assets (shares and property) in their investment portfolios. Conservative investors on the other hand are likely to have higher holdings of cash and fixed interest assets.

The results of these risk profile questionnaires can give you a general guide as to a possible investment class mix that may suit your needs.
