Investing via syndicates

Investing via syndicates has existed for a long time and is one method of investing in the property market.

A syndicate is where a number of people or entities come together and pool their money to buy an investment or a pool of investments.

This can be popular in the asset class of property as sometimes the property might be too expensive for one person to buy. So, by pooling your money with others through a syndicate, the property can be funded.

One important issue with syndicates is the liquidity of your money. It’s important to find out how you can redeem (sell) your investment.

You may be locked in for a specific time and you may have to find a buyer for your portion of the investment. Consider this carefully before you invest in a syndicate.

Syndicates are also a popular way for investors to buy items such as race horses.
