Residential Aged Care

Important Questions

Changing Rooms
If you wish to change rooms within your residential aged care facility, you must put in a request to the relevant manager of your residential aged care facility; this will be carefully considered by the manager in accordance with your Residential Agreement and the general operations of the residential aged care facility; however, your request may not always be accepted.

In some instances, you may be asked to change rooms by the aged care service provider. For example, in the event of:

  • Medical reasons or repairs/improvements required on the room (or residential aged care facility in general).
  • Your room changes to an ‘extra service room’ and you do not wish to pay the additional costs required to retain it.
